22 BMW MOTORRAD TOURS – ACADEMY

        THE ACADEMY ACADEMY

The Motorrad Tours Academy is a range of training events and tours with coaching from some of the most highly qualified and experienced
advanced instructors in the UK. One literally wrote the book on advanced riding. Enjoy tours of Wales, Scotland or the Picos in small groups
(1 instructor to 4 riders) and half the time on tour you will be coached and develop your riding skills. The other half kick back and enjoy the
tour. All the usual features of a Motorrad Tour – great routes, lovely hotels, route notes, GPS routes – all with the added benefit of returning
        a better rider.
The Tour Training days run immediately before a corresponding Rider Development Tour so you can complete both elements as a
package. The dates in Wales are also timed to co-incide with a BMW Off Road Skills weekend, meaning you can upgrade all your skills
        in one fantastic week.
        TOUR TRAINING DAYS

Some of the greatest experiences on two-wheels come from
motorcycle touring! Whether you’ve packed your panniers to travel
solo or in a group, whether your journey is 250 miles or 2,500, our
Tour Training Day will impart the rider skills and tour preparation
        techniques to cover every eventuality.

From the Peak District to Patagonia, if you’re thinking about your first
motorcycle tour, or wanting to plan your own tour for the very first
time, our Tour Training Day will cover everything you need to know.

        RIDER DEVELOPMENT TOURS

Led by our highly-qualified RoSPA Advanced and DVSA accredited
Tour Leaders, our Rider Development Tours are the perfect blend
of enhancing riding skills while taking in some stunning scenery
along the way. Each tour will provide a unique backdrop packed
with winding roads, spectacular landscapes and historic landmarks.
We’ll cover the theory that underpins the fundamental riding skills
of being a safer, better rider, before putting them into practice.

There’ll be plenty of opportunities to improve your observation,
road positioning, throttle control and gear selection, as well as
developing your confidence with corners, unknown roads, overtakes
and braking – all at your own pace. Small group sizes are guaranteed
        – with a 2:1 coaching ratio and a full group of 4:1 riders, allowing
equal time to learn, relax, and ride.
